We are pleased to announce the design of the Tokyo Marathon 2027 “20th Anniversary Premium Edition Finisher Medals,” which will be presented to runners who complete the race.
The medal is an extra-large version measuring 100 mm in diameter and features special specifications befitting the commemorative 20th edition of the Tokyo Marathon.

The front of the medal features a graphic representation of the number “20,” symbolizing the 20th edition of the Tokyo Marathon.
The “2” represents the path traced by each individual runner, while the “0” is composed of the Tokyo Marathon logo pattern. Together, they represent the Tokyo Marathon as an event that brings everyone involved—including runners, volunteers, and spectators—together as one.
The reverse side depicts iconic Tokyo landmarks located along the Tokyo Marathon course, expressing the event’s role in connecting people and cultures from around the world.
The medal will be presented to all runners who complete the Tokyo Marathon 2027.
General Entry for the Tokyo Marathon 2027 will open at 11:00 a.m. (JST) on Friday, August 14, 2026.
