To bring and boost the excitement for the Tokyo Marathon 2025 (Sunday, March 2, 2025), the Tokyo Marathon Foundation will deliver various enjoyable events.
The events will include an exchange run with overseas runners (Friendship Run), the children and their family members running and fun together at the Finish area (Family Run),and the Tokyo Running Festa, where participants can receive services at shopping streets and cooperating stores along the course.
◎Virtual Tokyo Marathon2025
During the period leading up to the Tokyo Marathon 2025 race day (March 2, 2025), the "Virtual Tokyo Marathon 2025", a month-long virtual event welcoming runners from all around the world, will be held between February 15 to March 9, 2025. Runners can join this event for a digital certificate, and/or boost their motivation. The Entries will open at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6 (JST)
Additionally, all those who take part in the event and fulfill the condition will be eligible to win one of one-hundred entries to the Tokyo Marathon 2026 by random drawing.

◎Tokyo Marathon Family Run 2025
On the morning of the Tokyo Marathon, there is a Fun Run that starts at "Dai-ichi Seimei Hibiya First," located in the middle of Marunouchi Naka-dori, for pairs of elementary school students and their family members' parents. You can dash through approximately 1km to the finish gate eagerly awaiting on Tokyo Station/Gyoko-dori Ave. Street, surpassing any marathon runner!
*Please be aware that entry and further details are available only in Japanese, and only those who can receive pre-race packet mailed to the residential address in Japan are eligible to attend this event.(not permissible to use a hotel as a residential address)

◎Tokyo Running Festa
The Tokyo Running Festa aims to liven up and revitalize the whole city alongside both the runners and the many supporters.
Running Festa button badges will be given to participants of various events, including running events. Those who receive the button badges will be able to receive free gifts (services, discounts, etc.) at participating retailers when they present their button badge. Through these promotions, the foundation hopes to not only enliven the Tokyo running scene but also increase the number of customers visiting the participating retailers and facilities.
