The Athletics Kenya has unveiled its men's and women's marathon teams for the Paris Olympics, among them are Benson Kipruto, Timothy Kiplagat, Vincent Kipkemoi Ngetich, and Eliud Kipchoge, legendary athletes and the members who achieved fantastic result in the Tokyo Marathon 2024. Also, Alexander Mutiso, who impressed with a fourth-place finish in the Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon 2023, has secured a spot on the men's team.
On the women's side, the team boasts Brigid Kosgei, the former record holder of the Tokyo Marathon course, and Rosemary Wanjiru, who triumphed in the Tokyo Marathon 2023 and clinched second place in 2024.
Kenya has a strong history of winning the men's Olympic marathon, taking the top spot three times. Now, finalists from the Tokyo Marathon 2024 and Legacy Half Marathon 2023 are competing for spots on the Olympic team.
