It was previously announced that details regarding Tokyo Marathon 2021 would be announced by the end of August while taking into account the state of the COVID-19 pandemic and various implications involved. However, due to governmental decision on extending the restriction on the event size, and ongoing discussion with the relevant parties, we would like to request little more time on delivering the details.

We are aware of the media reports surrounding the Tokyo Marathon 2021, but please note, deliberation is ongoing and no official details are decided nor released by us yet.

The details of the Tokyo Marathon 2021 are to be decided by the Board of Directors by early October. We will announce the details as soon as it is decided and concurrently, we will continue to work in preparing a safe and secure event for our participants.
