To bring and boost the excitement for the Tokyo Marathon 2023 (Sunday, March 5, 2023), the Tokyo Marathon Foundation will deliver various enjoyable events. The events include "Tokyo Running Festa", which provides participants with special offers at the local shopping areas and stores partnering with the event, as well as a running event where runners can enjoy mixing with runners from around the world, and a fun run event where kids and adults can participate in pair and have fun together.
Entry for the Family Run will open on Monday, December 26, 2022, and the other events will start at a later date.

◎ Tokyo Marathon Friendship Run 2023
The Tokyo Marathon Friendship Run was first held in 2012 as a fun run event to foster relationships between Japanese runners and international runners visiting Japan. This year's event will be held with a virtual run and an in-person finish line event. Since the Tokyo Marathon 2023 will be welcoming international runners for the first time in four years, we expect that many international runners can join this event and experience Japan's hospitality and culture.

◎Tokyo Marathon Family Run 2023
Tokyo Marathon Family Run 2023 will be held on the same day as the Tokyo Marathon and the kids will get to run through the marathon finish line (Tokyo Station, Gyoko-dori Avenue) before anyone else! Designed for elementary school children to run with a parent or a guardian, this event welcomes families and friends to experience the joy of running.

◎Tokyo Running Festa
The Tokyo Running Festa aims to liven up and revitalize the whole city alongside both the runners and the many supporters.
Running Festa pins will be given to participants of various events, including running events. Those who receive the pins will be able to receive free gifts (services, discounts, etc.) at participating retailers when they present their pin.
1) About distributions of pins
Distribution period: Late January to early March (provisional)
*Previous years' examples: Sports stores, runner support facilities, public bathhouses, gardens, events, tourist facilities, real estate, antenna shops, cat shelters, temples and shrines, curry grand prix stores, Asakusa area, Sendagaya area, etc.
2) About the gifts you can receive by presenting the Running Festa pin
