Tokyo Marathon Foundation will kick-off very first virtual event, "RUN as ONE - GLOBAL Virtual Run Series". The series will consist total of 4 events where runners can participate and enjoy the event regardless of where they are using a running app. By introducing a virtual event, we hope runners will have an opportunity to feel connected and enjoy running more within their daily life.
Furthermore, all runners who complete an event within the outlined conditions will be eligible to be part of the drawing to win a guaranteed entry to the Tokyo Marathon and more.
The first event of the series "1st Challenge", limited to Japanese residents, will be held on Saturday, December 26, and the entry will open on Wednesday, November 11, welcoming the first 4,000 applicants.
1st Challenge and 2nd Challenge will be limited to Japanese residents but don't worry!! Starting from 3rd Challenge, the event will be available globally where anyone regardless of residing country can participate.
We will announce details for 3rd Challenge and more as soon as it is decided.
Alongside, using a different running app (JOYRUN) limited within China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore, the RUN as ONE - Asia Virtual Run Series will start from December.

<Regarding the Tokyo Marathon 2021>
The Tokyo Marathon 2021 will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, with the furtherance to deliver elite and mass races together in the original field size.
Details of the Race Information are planned to be further determined.
In addition, the Tokyo Marathon 2021-related events will be held in early March 2021. The events will include a virtual marathon, as well as running events within Tokyo.
Details will be announced within December 2020.
