1) Marathon:
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building — Iidabashi — Kanda — Nihombashi — Asakusa Kaminari-Mon — Ryogoku — Monzen-nakacho — Ginza — Takanawa — Hibiya —Tokyo Station/Gyoko-dori (This course is certified by the JAAF and AIMS/IAAF .)
2) 10km Race:
Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building — Iidabashi — Kanda — Nihombashi
(Results are considered unofficial. Finishing place is determined by net time.)

Competition Rules |
The races will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of the IAAF, the JAAF and the Race Organizer. IAAF Road Race Label Regulations also apply to the Tokyo Marathon 2017, which has been certified by the IAAF as a Gold Label road race. Doping control is conducted under IAAF Anti-Doping Regulations and/or Japan Anti-Doping Regulations.
IPC ATHLETICS Rules and Regulations and the competition rules of the Tokyo Marathon apply to the wheelchair marathon.Doping control is conducted under IPC ATHLETICS Anti-Doping Regulations and/or Japan Anti-Doping Regulations.

Time Limits |
Marathon: 7 hours Wheelchair Marathon: 2 hours and 10 minutes
10km Race: 1 hour and 40 minutes Wheelchair 10km race: 35minutes
- (i) The time limits are based on the gun time (not on the net time).
- (ii) The cut-off time will be enforced at each checkpoint due to limited duration of traffic control, security operation and event operation. The runners, who fail to pass through the checkpoint before the cut-off time, will be disqualified from the race. Furthermore, trailing runners who lag excessively behind the cut-off time pace may be asked to leave the course at anytime.

- 1-1) General participants
Persons who can complete the course within six hours and 40 minutes
*Persons with disabilities who find it difficult to run without support should run with a partner (running with a guide dog is not allowed)
- 1-2) Semi-Elite (Field size: 2,700 people)
Athletes who are recommended by the races that are affiliated in the RUN as ONE - Tokyo Marathon 2017.

1-3) Elite (Applications will commence in December.) (Field size: 100 people)
- - Athletes, registered with the JAAF in fiscal 2016 who satisfy the special requirements set forth by the JAAF
- - Invited Athletes: Domestic and international runners recommended by the JAAF
- 1-4) Wheelchair (General participants) (Field size: 10 people)
- - Athletes capable of completing the race within 2 hours and 10 minutes using the racing wheelchair.
- - The person who has proof as person with disabilities.
- 1-5) Wheelchair Elite (Applications will commence in December.) (Field size: 30 people)

- Athletes who have the following record in the tournament of the IPC certified races:
1 hour and 50 minutes or under (Men)
2 hours or under (Women)
Athletes registered with the JPA in fiscal 2016, and the IPC in fiscal 2017 Athletes who have the T53 or T54 class of IPC Classification.

- Invited Athletes:National and international athletes recommended by the JPA.
2) 10 km (Field size: 500 people)
- 2-1) Junior & Youth (Field size: 290 people)
Runners between 16 and 18 years of age on the race day, who are capable of finishing the race in 1.5 hours (Runners born between February 27, 1998 and February 26, 2001 are eligible)
- *Including those runners who are selected separately by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government under the projects related to the Great East Japan Earthquake Recovery support.

2-2) Visually-impaired (Persons aged at least 16 on the day of the event/running with a guide dog is not allowed) (Field size: 50 people)
Persons who can complete the course within 1 hour and 30 minutes

2-4) Transplant Recipients (Persons aged at least 16 on the day of the event) (Field size: 50 people)
Persons who can complete the race within 1 hour and 30 minutes

*Limited to those who have received an organ transplant or bone marrow transplant.

Persons who can complete the race within 35 minutes using a racing wheelchair

- 3) Selection of applicants:
When the maximum number of entries is exceeded, participants will be chosen by lottery. The scheduled time for the announcement of the lottery results by the middle of September.
- 4) Making payment:
*Applications for charity runners will be accepted from July 1 (Friday). Places are limited to the first 3000 successful applications.
*Priority entry for ONE TOKYO premium members opens from July 1 (Friday) to July 31 (Sunday). There are 3000 available places.
*For further information on RUN as ONE-Tokyo Marathon 2017, please refer to our official website.
*Elite and wheelchair marathon(Elite) entries will be accepted from December.

*Placings will be determined by the net time starting from when each participant of passes the start line.
*When having started from any place but a designated block, it isn't made the commendation target.

Others |
- 1) Members of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations will have their membership confirmed, so be sure to register with the Association prior to applying for the event and to include the correct registration information with your application. The start block will not necessarity be the one immediately following the elite runners’ block. Irrespective of the starting block, be aware that this is a competitive race and it will be run in accordance with the regulations of the JAAF.
- 2) Please make every effort to enter the race in the best possible health by training sufficiently prior to the event and, for example, consulting a doctor for an advance health check.
- 3) The race organizers will transport participants' personal belongings from the start to the finish. Depending upon traffic conditions and other factors, participants may have to wait for their belongings to arrive.
- 4) The organizer may authorize third parties to sell photographs and other souvenirs.
- 5) In addition to the above instructions, participants must follow all instructions issued by the organizer with regard to the event.
- 6) These application rules apply only to the Tokyo Marathon 2017.
