For the Tokyo Marathon 2026, thanks to an increase in prize money and other factors, we have assembled our best-ever lineup of world-class athletes. Men Led by the absolute champion Hug (Switzerland), Weir (Great Britain), and the strong Chinese duo Hua and Xingchuan, a fierce battle is expected. From Japan, Tomoki Suzuki—the winner of Tokyo Marathon 2025 and Japanese record holder—will lead the domestic field in taking on the world. Women A head-to-head battle between Scaroni (USA) and Debrunner (Switzerland) will anchor the race, with Schär (Switzerland), Rozario (Australia), and other top contenders joining the fight. From Japan, Tsuchida and Nakamine are the ones to watch. Both races are expected to unfold at a high pace, with record-breaking performances within reach.
